Building Surveyor – London

Superb opportunity for an experienced Construction Building Surveyor to join a leading building construction firm. The role is based in London and offers the opportunity to work on some high-profile projects.

As the Building Surveyor you will provide commercial and technical support to the After-Care team. Ensuring compliance with construction and contractual requirement. Being a key member of the team, you will liaise with multiple stakeholders on:

  • Commercial disputes
  • Warranty defects
  • Latent defect claims
     

Some of the responsibilities are but not limited to:
 

  • Provide professional and technical expertise on all defect related matters, diagnosing, specifying and facilitating a wide range of rectification works in accordance with statutory legislation.
     
  • Prepare design solutions that utilise best practice and suitable equipment and materials for optimum efficiency and cost-effectiveness
     
  • Review latent defect claims and respond to clients accordingly. This will include undertaking condition and structural surveys, providing technical advice and recommendations, feasibility studies, preliminary cost estimates and risk and opportunities management plans.
     
  • Refer to Employer’s Requirements and original subcontract orders to establish lines of responsibility.
