Commercial Manager

 

Commercial Manager is needed for a FTSE 250 who provide highly specialised services and application engineering within Security and Defence. This role would suit some who has worked as a Commercial Manager or within the Procurement leadership space. Ideally the Commercial Manager would have previously dealt with complex contract negotiation and commercial management for UK and overseas customers, of which has been in the defence sector and Ministry of Defence (MoD). Experience of negotiating with Central Government would be considered.

 

Key Skills

 

  • Experience within complex contract negotiation and commercial management
  • Proven ability to review, analyse and modify Terms & Conditions for Sale or Purchase
  • Proven relationship builder of suppliers, customers and partners
  • Understanding of business risk and financial implications of contracts
  • Extensive experience working within Defence and working with MoD and non-UK customers such as US DoD or Central Government

 

The Commercial Manager will manage contracts and negotiations in a specific business unit. You will need to be able to deal with shifts in workload and complex but highly interesting negotiations. You will provide commercial management for contracts from receipt of enquiry to payments from the customer.

 

Our client offers excellent flexible benefits from Dental Insurance and Medical Insurance to Car schemes and excellent pension. Standard holiday allowance is 25 days but you can reduce this to 20 or increase to 30 days holiday. Based in Surrey with easy access to M4 / M3 Corridor and home counties. There could also be some travel required.
