Quantity Surveyor – High End Residential – C. London – Up to £42,000

Ibex Recruitment now have an immediate requirement for a Quantity Surveyor based in Central London. Our client is a boutique property developer who builds warehouse and industrial style apartments in London. During this year, our client has expanded its team and are looking to continue that growth with this vacancy within their London Bridge headquarters. The ideal candidate would be at an intermediate level, with a minimum of three to five years’ experience with residential builds. Our client is flexible on virtual or face to face interviews, which they are looking to hold immediately.

 

Work Responsibilities: 

The role will cover a wide range of quantity surveying and estimating disciplines. The list of responsibilities below covers areas you will be involved in:

 

  • You will be solely responsible to deal with all commercial and surveying responsibilities for the delivery of projects
  • The production and compilation of tender responses for procurement for various subcontract packages Including pricing and quality elements of the response.
  • Engage with existing and new supply chain partners to obtain pricing and quality information in support of subcontract tendering process.
  • Assist in the development of the procurement programme and carrying out sub- contractor procurement to suit project needs. 
  • To monitor and record the tender success rate and provide monthly reports to the Contracts Director in relation to Construction Services estimating outputs.
  • Provide input into risk profiling and management on contracts/projects
  • Selection of contractors for projects
  • Work on PQQ’s for new contracts
  • Preparation of monthly forecasts/reports (such as CVR’s) for review and approval of the Directors.
  • Review and certification of sub-contractors’ interim valuations and final accounts as per contractual deadlines and contract payment schedule. 
  • Value and authorise sub-contractor applications and payments for contracts director’s final approval.
  • Check and validate Sub contractor variation account on monthly basis and update Their final account projection. 
  • Take off material procurement items and order in line with construction programme.
  • Preparation of subcontracts orders using JCT and bespoke templates. 
  • Liaise with Contracts Director / Project Managers to establish the project specification and requiremen
  • To record and execute all aspects of contract administration in connection with the main contract and sub-contracts.
  • Liaise with site personnel and sub-contractors to maximise productivity and controlling the budget spend.
  • Provide commercial advice to the site team about all project issues and project strateg and provide input to area commercial discussions and reviews
  • The ability to manage your own workload and co-ordinate with others to ensure deadlines are met
  • To arrange and attend site visits/meetings for sub pre-contract tender review meetings before placing the orders.
  • To be aware of the company’s brand and profile and to aid in increasing this through social media/other marketing tools as and when required.
  • Produce and negotiate insurance claims with insurers representatives 
  • Carry out other relevant duties using your experience and skill set as required from time to time.
